Her father, Edwin Miller, is an American banker turned dealer of Chinese art.Miller has a sister, Savannah, two half-brothers, Charles and Stephen, and a stepsister, Natasha Corrett (the daughter of her father's second wife, Kelly Hoppen).Miller attended Heathfield St Mary's School, a boarding school in Ascot, Berkshire, and later studied for a year at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York City.She carries both British and American passports, and acquired her first driving licence in the U.S. Virgin Islands, since it was easy to qualify, which allowed her to drive in both the U.S. and UK

She appeared in the 2009 live-action film adaptation of the comic book and cartoon G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, playing The Baroness.
